Dear Customer,

Due to the current situation and the associated significant fluctuations in oil prices, and consequently diesel and kerosene prices, we have decided to switch from monthly to weekly calculations of the Fuel Surcharge until prices stabilize.

The weekly FSC is now calculated based on the official figures from two weeks prior. This timeframe is due to the often-delayed availability of these figures. For example, FSC CW 12 is based on the figures from CW 10.

We are confident that this will allow the FSC to better reflect the current and short-term fluctuations in both directions (increase and decrease).

Fuel Surcharge Road

The variable fuel surcharge for road transport and associated transport services is based on the average end user diesel prices in the EU27 countries, including all taxes and duties.
This is regularly announced by the European Commission in the "Weekly Oil Bulletin" at https://energy.ec.europa.eu/data-and-analysis/weekly-oil-bulletin_en.

The fuel surcharge is calculated as follows: The weighted average of the weekly prices from the penultimate Monday of the current month to the last Monday of the previous month results in the new value according to the table below.

The Fuel Surcharge will be recalculated monthly at the end of the month and is valid from the first to the last day of the following month in which the shipment is booked or picked up.

Fuel Surcharge Air

The calculation of the variable fuel surcharge is determined by the price index for a barrel Brent Crude Oil at the London Stock Exchange, published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The surcharge applies to the costs for national and international transportation of goods by air freight and not on any other additional services.

The surcharge is calculated based on the monthly average price for a barrel Brent Crude Oil (BCO) two months ago. E.g., the surcharge for January is based on the average price for a barrel Brent Crude Oil in November of the previous year.

The new value is valid from the first to the last day of the following month in which the shipment is booked or picked up.

Time:matters reserve the right to change the calculation method and the surcharges, if necessary, without prior notice.
For the avoidance of doubt any such changes will only take effect for future bookings.
